Context
L'ingénieur de recherche rejoindra l'équipe associée 4TUNE au sein du laboratoire international CWI-Inria. Les recherches menées par l'équipe sont centrées sur l'apprentissage en ligne, les bandits et l'optimisation. Nous visons à faire progresser l'apprentissage statistique en développant des algorithmes sophistiqués qui exploitent la structure du problème au-delà de l'analyse traditionnelle des pires cas. Nous investiguons en particulier l'adaptabilité à des schémas non standards rencontrés dans les tâches d'apprentissage embarqué, comme dans les calculs itératifs d'équilibre, qui sont le sujet principal de ce projet.
Le projet sera formellement co-supervisé par Adrien Taylor de l'Inria Paris, Pierre Gaillard de l'Inria Grenoble et Wouter Koolen du CWI Amsterdam. Le candidat commencera et sera hébergé administrativement à Paris, et comprendra des visites prolongées à Amsterdam, ainsi qu'aux collaborateurs du projet 4TUNE, Rémy Degenne à Lille et Grenoble.
Assignment
- Benchmark d'algorithmes pour le calcul de points selles et d'apprentissage séquentiel.
- Expériences numériques pour la recherche d'algorithmes optimaux (sans projections) pour le calcul de points selles et d'apprentissage séquentiel.
- Ecriture d'une note technique résumant ces recherches.

Skills
Un doctorat en mathématiques ou en informatique théorique sont apréciés avec une spécialisation en optimisation, apprentissage automatique, apprentissage statistique ou théorie des jeux, attestée par des publications dans des conférences pertinentes telles que NeurIPS, COLT, ICML, ALT, AISTATS, FOCS, STOC, SODA, EC, JMLR, GEB.
